Salem, Oregon. – Bridges Oregon announced today that Andrea Thornberry, a member of the Bridges Oregon Board of Directors, has passed away.
Andrea has been a director of Bridges Oregon since September 2022 and quickly assumed the Board Treasurer role. Andrea was with Luca Financial Organizing as a Daily Money Manager specializing in personal financial tasks clients require, from paying bills to working with a client’s CPA, financial advisor, lawyers, and realtors.
As a former non-profit professional and Executive Director of Heartland Humane Society, Andrea volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis, which led to becoming the Resource Development Director. She also did freelance grant writing. She had a deep understanding of non-profit finance and, with her role at Luca Corvallis, was a significant contributor to the Bridges Oregon’s Board of Directors.
Rian Gayle, Chair of the Board of Bridges Oregon, stated, “Our hearts are heavy. We will be forever grateful to Andrea for her dedication and service to Bridges Oregon. It has been a privilege for me and other Board members to work alongside Andrea. She will be greatly missed.”
Chad A. Ludwig, Executive Director of Bridges Oregon, added, “I am very saddened by Andrea’s passing. She was a tremendous supporter of Bridges Oregon and for that, I will always be appreciative of her impact here. The Bridges Oregon family offers our thoughts, prayers, and support to the entire Thornberry family and her close friends at this time.”
